not sure my hubby would like me to tell the whole world, but about twice a week.sometimes less and sometimes more.

A moms fear

Some sad memories have come back to me today. A friend of mine had a miscarriage:( This is such a sad thing. Every women feels for a mom who looses her child in this way, but if you have gone through it it really hits home.

I have been through this but it was more than 7 years ago. I am not going to go into details but it was not good. It was a really terrible experience. I would never wish it on any women ever!!!

Even after all this time it will sometimes surface. I know now that there was a reason for it. that it was just not meant to be at that time. But it is still hard you wonder was it something you did, or didn't do, you wonder what would that baby be like? a boy or a girl? It is so hard to have these sad thoughts!

I think you have to move on, except that it was a terrible thing, but go on. I am thankful everyday for the two little healthy girls that I have. They are truly a gift!

So today my thoughts go out to any women who has gone through this, especially my friend who is still grieving, my heart goes out to her <3

What was your "oh no, I'm turning into my Mom/Dad" moment?
Probably when I hear myself saying things I swore I would never say, "Don't make me stop this car", "Do it because I said so" Please let me brush your hair so you don't look like a ragamuffin " Oh man thats scary !!!! I'm sure it will only get worse as my girls get even older.


What current commercial do you find the most annoying/funny?
I don' t have to watch too many commercials anymore with a DVR. So I cannot think of any right now.

If you could only eat one color food for the rest of your life what would it be?
I would probably say red that gives you some options, apples, strawberrys, pasta with red sauce, pizza with red sauce. Not sure if those last 2 would be cheating.

What is your current Facebook/Myspace/Twitter status?
Only on facebook and it currently says "can't wait to try brick oven pizza on the new outdoor fireplace, hope it comes out good"

1. Do you think mustaches are sexy?
I don't think they are sexy but my hubby has one and my dad has had FOREVER so I guess it would be weird if I didn't see a mustache, but sexy probably not.

2. What's the last concert you've been to?
Don't laugh but New Kids on the Block last year. It was like being 10 all over again, great time with old friends:)

3 What was your favorite 80's sitcom?
I would have to say Punky Brewster I wanted to wear cool clothes her so bad. LOL those bandana's around her leg too funny.

4. Were you named after anyone?
My middle name is the same as my mom.

5. When you buy new clothes, do you wash before wearing?
Sometimes depends if it is stiff or smells funny. But i do wash my kids clothes before they wear them.

6. If you didn't blog, what would you do with your spare time?
Probably more housework LOL

7. What is your favorite department store?
I really like Kohls!

8. If you were to get Laser Hair Removal..where would you get it?
Under arms and bikini area.

Shopping trip

So as you can see I finally got a header. I'm super excited. Thank God for my husband I never would of gotten one if it was up to me. I really envy people who can make really cool things on the computer. My hubby makes really nice webpages he made a family page for us, (it needs to be updated but still cool nonetheless). Check it out www.simonds.me Next he gets to help me make a webpage for my girlscout troop LOL.

Ok enough about my blog page.

Yesterday I took the girls out clothes shopping for school. My younger one didn't really need anything since she gets all her sisters handmedowns, and she just got lots of new outfits from her B-day. But anyway my older daughter needs a whole new wardrobe she has grown up so much in the last couple of months. So off to the store we go.

This was the first year that K wanted to pick out her own clothes. Usually she is just happy with whatever I picked out. Not this year she was so excited to see something that she liked. "mom look at this, this is cool all the older girls wear things like this". Now she doesn't mean high school girls with all their stuff hanging out she means like the cool 5th graders. LOL. The joy on her face was priceless. Shes really into trendy this year, peace signs, lots of color, skinny jeans, tall boots, anything from Justice ( a clothing store not sure if they are everywhere). It was really fun shopping this year. We got LOTS of stuff and got really good deals :) Of course there was a couple of things in there for S too.

SO now we go home with all of our goods. On the ride home she is totally excited to show her dad her buys. So right after dinner she put on a "runway show" It was super cute. S got in on it to showing off her clothes that she got for her B-day. My hubby and I had to sit on the couch and watch the show. She strutted her stuff and worked it. LOL I remember how exciting it was to do the same exact thing when I was her age. Just shear joy of showing off her finds. It made me realize that very soon she won't want me to go shopping with her, she'll just ask for the credit card. So I enjoyed every second of out outing and can't wait to do it again soon. Take every second you can with kids before you know it they will be grown and we will have no one to go shopping with.
