Coffee Date

Virtual coffee (Wednesday) this week over at Lucky Number 13

I had a real coffee date this morning with a great friend check her out shes great!
It was nice to chat and hang out its been awhile.

But if we were meeting up for coffee I would I pull out my new coffee mug from Disney its so nice and big, and my pumpkin flavored cream YUMMY so excited i found it at the store today. I have been looking I love that flavor. Fall is my favorite season yummy pumpkin flavors everywhere you turn, nice cool days so you can wear jeans and a t-shirt. Then at night its great to snuggle in my fav. robe and slippers. I also love seeing my kids in feety jammies nothing cuter!

Anyways we would once again chat about whats going on with us. I would tell you all about my family trip to Disney. It was great. I would tell you that I have lots of kids to watch this week Mon and tues no school Wed- Fri. half days so on top of my usual daycare kids I have my afterschool kids also.

I would talk to you about trying to find some art classes for Kylie, she really likes drawing and shes good at it. She def. gets that from my hubbys side of the family I draw stick people. LOL I'm really bad! Hopefully she will love the classes once we find them. I hope my girls find that one thing that gets them excited in life. I still haven't found it.

Our Disney trip

So I have totally been MIA for awhile. But we were super busy!

We went to Disney World for 10 days it was AWSOME!!

I loved seeing the kids see everything for the first time. We went with my parents and my sister and her family. It was stressful at times but all in all a magical trip. I could go on and on about what we did but its easier to just say we did it all.

All 4 parks, all the rides, all the shows, it was fun and tiring!

Lifes little pleasures

I finally have a free second to catch up on some blogging. Super busy as I'm sure you all are too.
How nice it is right now in my house I am sitting in the bathroom while savanna is playing quietly in the tub with her pony's, my hubby took Kylie to soccer practice! I think this needs to happen every Monday. I am always the one driving all over the place bringing the kids here and there, its nice to be the one left home.
Not that I get too much of a break baths for the kid and the dog in a few, then on to some more packing. We leave Sat.for vacation and I feel like there is so much still to do.
But WOW I cannot believe how quiet it is with only one kid.
I watch kids all day while my older one is in school and then I have my 2 after school till bedtime, but having one now is great :) Can you tell how excited I am to have peace and quiet for 1 hour. Ok off to enjoy playing my little pony's.

Virtual coffee

One of by bestest friends (check her out) has been doing this post for a couple of weeks and I really like the idea so I'm gonna join in today.

If we were meeting for coffee it would probably be here at my house since I have a sick kiddo at home today :(

I would tell you that I had to go pick her up early from school because she has a headache and a fever. Poor thing. But I have to say I am relieved that she went to school today so it didn't count as an absence, we are leaving for Disney World in 12 days and she will miss 5 days of school. I really don't want her to miss any more. I know I know I'm a terrible mom wanting to send the poor kid to school even when shes not feeling well, but she really didn't have a fever this morning I promise!!

I would then tell you that we started my younger daughter on her 2 months of antiboitics today! Fingers crossed that it works!!!!!!!!!

I would want to hear all about whats going on in your little piece of the world.


I would probably then go on to complain!! About what you ask?? Well just normal stuff Husband driving me crazy, Girl Scout planning, PTA planning, trying to start packing, you know typical mommy complaints.

But what are friends for and what is meeting for coffee all about but to listen and to talk to a freind!

Can't wait to meet up again soon. Next time I'll bring muffins, whats better then muffins and coffee.

finally a free minute!!
My days have been super busy!

Update on Savanna we took her to a specialist for Lyme. SO glad we found the Dr we did, she is going to take 2 months of antibiotics. We hope this will do it, but we had to have more blood work done to check for co-infections. There are things we need to make sure that she gets while on the meds, so lots of research on my end. She will need omega-3, acidophilus, extra calcium, floride. My poor baby and all of this from a tiny little tick!! What is their purpose anyways!

On a good note she had her first day of preschool yesterday!! I can't believe how big she is getting she was like "bye mom see you later" It was harder for me to leave her there, I got a little teary eyed. I just think next year she will be in full day Kindergarten.

Kylie has started everything in full swing too. She has started Soccer and Girl Scouts. Did I mention I was the Girl Scout leader. Oh man it is so much work, but worth it. We have our first field trip this weekend the girls are SO excited!!!!!!!!
But lately I am not sure whats up with my once sweet loving well behaved 7 year old, she has turned into a moody, mouthy, 7 year old. I would like the sweet one back now. Come on any time. All I can say is God help me when she goes through puberty. I am in SO much trouble. Maybe I will learn a little more patience by then!

I am planning a ladies choice and gentleman's choice dance at my daughters school. The school has never had one but I think every little girls should have the chance to get dressed up and have a dance date with their daddy, (or other special guy in their life) I hope it all works out, again lots of work but worth it!

On top of all this we leave for Disney in 2 weeks YAY i am SOOOOO excited we are in store for tons of fun. My girls cannot wait. I hope we have good weather :)

Organizing!!!!

I really wish I could hire a professional organizer.

I feel like nothing is where it should be, everything is cluttered, but what do I do with all this crap!

I envy people when I walk into their house and its all neat, and uncluttered, and Organized!!! Now don't get me wrong I do not need to be on an episode of Hoarders or anything but I just wish I had some clever ideas to have things look neater.

To start this process I am going to buy a weekly organizer for K's clothes that way at the beginning of the week she can pick out 5 outfits and just pick one of those in the morning, so much less stressful.
Next i am going to buy a big dry erase board and put everything on that, soccer, girl scouts, dr. apt, playdates all that good stuff.
I need to just go through everything and purge!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well these things are not close to what i want to do but its a start.

Stress!!!!!!!

I am stressing today!!!

I am trying to find a Lyme specialist and a Naturopath Dr. for Savanna.

She has finished her round of antibiotics and I still don't' have a specialist for her to see. Why can't any of these Dr.s take medical insurance!

Girl Scouts starts again next week and I don't have anything planned yet. except that i planned the first field trip and half the troop can't make it. Of course!!!!!!

I had 2 new kids start for childcare in my house this week and one more new one next week.

We leave for Disney in 3 weeks and I don't know where my dog is going to stay.

The dog got spayed last week and is still healing. But shes driving me nuts because she feels better but can't play the way she wants to.

And last but not least I feel like my skin is going to melt off its so hot!!!!

Lazy Sunday? yeah right!

Sunday already where did the week go? I had friends over last night to just hang out and have some pizza cooked on the brick oven outside, and of course jello shots :) It is so nice to have good friends to spend time with.

Today I am hosting a Girl Scout get together for my troop at my house. Its going to be the perfect weather. 87 and dry. Excited to tell the girls about all the fun things I have planned for this upcoming year! I just can't believe that everything is starting up again. My life has become super busy really quick. Time to go get a big dry erase calendar so I can keep track of everything.

Wish I could just have a lazy Sunday. Whatever happened to those?? Oh right I had kids :)

Second grade

My daughter started 2nd grade today! I truly cannot believe she is already almost 8 years old and in 2nd grade!! She totally is getting big. She doesn't look like my little girl anymore, she looks so grown up. This makes me a little sad.

Gone are the days of me picking out her clothes to wear to school. She spent awhile last night picking out just the perfect outfit for the first day. The right shirt, leggings, skirt, and of course the accessories the peace scarf, silly bands, the right shoes, and earrings. I didn't think this started this young. Last year she just wore what I told her. Not this year she has her own style which she has informed is the "rocker style"

I foresee many arguments in the morning picking out clothes. I need to go buy one of those weekly hanger organizers then she can pick out 5 outfits on Sun. so we can avoid the fights.

I hope she is still as excited to go to school in 4 months as she was today.

My poor Dog!

We had my dog spayed 2 days ago, I know this is good for her health and will be better in the long run. But what a process. I felt so bad dropping her her.

I went and picked her up of course she was super excited to see me and the kids. She is a crazy dog lots of energy. But i figured oh she just had surgery she will want to rest. Yeah not so much! We weren't even home 10 minutes and she popped one of her stitches :( So back to the Vet we go. They put in 2 staples (ouch) and kept her for the day. I picked her up again and she wanted to be crazy still, so I did what anyone would do I drugged her. (its ok the vet said i could give her Benedryl to help her be a little sleepy) Put her in her crate and let her rest.

She did really well last night. We let her out after the kids went to bed and she just rested on the floor. This morning too she stayed out for a little bit but started to get worked up so back to the crate she went!!

This is a lot harder then I thought it would be. I will glad once she heals. I know thats sounds terrible but I hate seeing her like this. I just want it back to normal. Dogs are so much work.. I love her and shes part of our family but a lot of work.

Anyways enough of my complaining.

Where has the summer gone!!

I can't believe that summer is over!

At the beginning of the summer it felt like I had so much time, now as this was the last weekend before school starts up for Kylie I can't believe its over!

We have had a good summer! We also have a great fall coming. Disney World here we come!!!!!!!! HAlloween, apple picking, pumpkin picking, apple pies, jeans and sweatshirt weather. I am so excited!

But I also am a little sad that my baby is going to start preschool I REALLY don't know where the time has gone, shes not my baby anymore. I know that she will love it and have so much fun!!!!!

I hope the weather changes from the rain today so we can enjoy the last couple days of summer with friends and doing a couple of fun things.

Our day trip!

This past Saturday My husband and I took the girls to NYC for the day. We have wanted to go for awhile but we finally said lets just go! What a fun day. We hoped the train and took the 2 hour ride to the city. This was the first time the girls had been on a train, they loved it.

Once we got there we walked and checked out Times Square, The Toys R Us there is amazing.


They loved the ferris wheel with all the Dif cars. We didn't actually ride because the line was like an hour long. My younger daughter LOVED the the full size dinosaur he was really cool! Our next stop after hitting up some more stores was Battery Park to check out the Staute of Liberty (we were going to take the ferry over but at the last minute the girls decided NAh we don't want to go see that!) Oh well I guess they need to be a little older to appreciate it anyways. So we hopped back on the subway (I swear the kids liked this better than anything LOL)


Next we went and seen ground zero. Then had lunch/dinner. Finally to the best store in all of NY (according to my girls.) The American Girl Store.
I have to say this place was pretty amazing. There were girls with their dolls everywhere. You can get your dolls hair done at the beauty salon, make a special t-shirt for you and your doll, a doll hospital, a cafe where you can eat with your doll, its just crazy. So guess whats already on my kids christmas list??? The girls walked around in awe.


After that we went to China Town, I wish i had time to shop but the kids just wanted to see it and go back home. It had been a long day.


Finally our day had come to an end and it was time to go home!

We had a great day! I can't wait to go back, but next time we go we are going without kids :)

New York is a great city everyone should visit at least once. There's def. no other place like it.
